For those who want to enjoy the last months of the year with a special selection of products, gifts, and promotional coupons, Walmart stores in El Salvador are ready for the Black Season, offering discounts of up to 35%—so everyone can live better.
As part of this special season, Walmart will offer financing for up to 18 months, exclusive raffles for customers receiving remittances, and additional savings on first purchases made through the online shopping App.
In gratitude for customer trust and loyalty, this year Walmart has also introduced “Savings Saturdays with the Walmart Card” across all its store formats: Walmart, La Despensa de Don Juan, Maxi Despensa, and Despensa Familiar, offering up to 14% savings in “Easy Dollars.”
This promotion even applies to selected discounted items, meaning customers can enjoy up to 50% combined savings when they shop on any Saturday of the month and pay with their Walmart Card.
“Walmart’s purpose in El Salvador is to help customers save money so they can live better. Through initiatives like Black Walmart, we are offering multiple discounts in addition to the low prices we maintain every day, along with benefits designed to ease pressure on family budgets and help them plan their purchases more effectively. This reflects our ongoing commitment to the well-being of Salvadoran families by constantly finding new ways to generate savings and improve their quality of life,” said Sandra Ganuza, Corporate Affairs Coordinator for Walmart El Salvador.
Black Savings
Black Walmart: This year, the six Walmart Supercenter stores will offer attractive discounts of up to 30% on appliances, furniture, and general merchandise (selected products), as well as 25% off on textiles (children’s, baby’s, and men’s clothing in specific categories; not applicable to Christmas or Halloween seasonal items or clearance products).
In the electronics category, discounts exceed 10%, with biweekly promotions generating significant household savings. Additionally, on selected perishable food products, Walmart will offer discounts of up to 35%, ensuring freshness and variety.
Every week, new products will be available in groceries, consumer goods, and perishables. Walmart will launch significant biweekly markdowns in general merchandise, textiles, and electronics, so customers are encouraged to stay alert for the best deals.
Super Black Prices: Shoppers who love to save can find a wide selection of fresh, high-quality products at the 17 Despensa de Don Juan supermarket locations. They will find wines, beers, liquors, snacks, beverages, and selected foods—perfect for those who want to enjoy without overspending.
¡Precio Despensa! Black: During this season, Salvadoran families can access everyday low prices on a wide variety of electronics—such as cell phones, computers, and TVs—as well as general merchandise, textiles, groceries, consumer goods, and perishables, thanks to initiatives like ¡Precio Despensa! Black across the 79 warehouse and discount stores under the Maxi Despensa and Despensa Familiar formats in El Salvador.
Financing and Prizes
Customers can purchase products such as technology, home appliances, computers, furniture, and more with financing for up to 18 months when using the Walmart BAC card, receiving the benefit of one payment refund.
There are also financing options available with other credit cards—up to 12 months interest-free with other BAC credit cards at Walmart and Maxi Despensa stores. Customers will receive a one-payment refund on 18-month interest-free purchases made with the Walmart Mastercard BAC card (minimum purchase of $100 on selected products) and up to 12 months interest-free with other BAC cards.
Customers who receive remittances from Cusca and MoneyGram at Walmart, La Despensa de Don Juan, Maxi Despensa, or Despensa Familiar store registers can participate in raffles for gift cards or cash prizes to enjoy and share with their families.
All Walmart formats will also offer exclusive online discounts this year. In addition, customers making their first purchase through the App using the code BLACKAPP will receive an additional discount of 10% at Walmart stores, 10% at La Despensa de Don Juan supermarkets, and 7% at Maxi Despensa stores (restrictions apply).
This discount also applies to already discounted selected items, meaning customers could achieve up to 45% total savings on certain products.
