The Comité de Tecnología of the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (Camarasal) has launched CyberWeek 2025, a week dedicated to strengthening digital security in the business sector. Through conferences and webinars, the event seeks to provide key tools for companies to protect themselves from growing cyber threats.

In an interview for Dinero.com.sv Jaime García, president of Camarasal’s Technology Committee, and Karla Menéndez, head of economic affairs, highlighted the importance of cybersecurity in a world where technology and digital services are fundamental. They stressed that companies must prioritize a culture of security and a contingency plan, essential elements to mitigate the risks of cyber attacks.
Among the topics addressed during CyberWeek 2025 are the most frequent types of cyber-attacks that affect SMEs and the best strategies to prevent them. The role of employees as a critical link in cybersecurity will also be analyzed, highlighting the importance of training to reduce vulnerabilities within organizations.

Another key aspect of the event is the need for an incident response plan that allows companies to act quickly and effectively to minimize the impact of a security breach. It will also explore how emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), can be allies in the fight against cybercrime.
The CyberWeek 2025 agenda begins on tuesday, march 11 with the webinar “Human talent to strengthen cybersecurity in your company”. On wednesday, march 12, two virtual conferences will be held: “Knowing the kitchen of cybercriminals” and “Industrial robotics: Elevating automation in El Salvador”.
On thursday, march 13, the face-to-face event will be held at the Hilton Hotel, starting at 8:00 a.m., with four keynote lectures: “Are hackers already inside your system?”, “Digital defense: Information security as a business enabler”, “Fundamentals of cloud security”, and “The digital social contract: approach between cybersecurity law and data protection”.

Finally, on friday, march 14, the day will conclude with two free webinars: “Five essential controls to secure the cloud” and “Digital security for everyone: How to avoid attacks in your company and home”.
