The Embassy of El Salvador in Bolivia successfully participated in the “Specialty Coffee Expo Bolivia 2025,” a crucial event for economic and commercial promotion. This first participation at the Santa Cruz fair, held from july 17 to 20, was key to positioning salvadoran coffee in the region.

Through a stand, the “Caf茅 de El Salvador” brand gained significant visibility, attracting the interest of a wide range of coffee professionals and enthusiasts. Buyers, experts, and the Bolivian coffee community showed great curiosity and appreciation for the quality of salvadoran coffee beans.

The participation included the valuable collaboration of Marcelo Alas, Honorary Consul of El Salvador in Paraguay. Alas, a coffee expert, not only assisted at the stand but also gave a talk to local producers, sharing his experience importing coffee beans from El Salvador to the South American market.

A highlight of the event was the “First El Salvador Coffee Tasting in Bolivia” At this event, 11 local coffee shops were able to taste and appreciate salvadoran coffee varieties, including red bourbon from the renowned Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range. This was crucial in showcasing the diversity and quality of the country’s coffee.

In addition to the tasting, an “Introduction to the World of Coffee” workshop was held, which educated 11 bolivian entrepreneurs and business owners. In this workshop, participants learned about specialty coffees, the country brand, preparation methods, the circular economy, and self-employment opportunities.

This active and multifaceted participation has strengthened commercial ties between the two countries, opening the door to future export and collaboration opportunities. El Salvador demonstrates its ability to compete in international markets and establish itself as a producer of high-quality coffee.
