The Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF) has announced the launch of a new cash refund tier for members of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Santa Victoria de R.L. (Cosavi). Starting this thursday, september 18, 2025, savers with deposits up to $56,000 will be able to begin the withdrawal process. This effort seeks to serve a greater number of those affected by the fraud detected at the cooperative.
Those interested should only go to the central branch located on Gabriela Mistral Street, San Salvador. The SSF has established the following hours of operation:
• Monday to friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
It is important that affected members present the required documentation to expedite the refund process. The SSF continues working on recovering funds and implementing new refund layers to serve all those affected by the Cosavi case.
