This recent increase in fuel prices in El Salvador is due to international factors that have influenced the energy market. Since, one of the largest oil producers, Iraq, reported that its largest oil field, Rumaila, was limited in its daily production due to a fire, directly impacting international prices of oil and its derivatives.
Authorities recommend drivers to plan their fuel expenses and check prices at service stations, as they may vary depending on the distributor.
