The salvadoran government continues to strengthen the economic transformation of the country through technical training in areas highly demanded by the global labor market. As part of its strategic vision, it is promoting programs that train the population in digital skills, to generate qualified talent that responds to the needs of technology companies and foreign investors.

One of the pillars of this commitment to economic development is the Escuela Superior de Innovación y Tecnología (ESIT), a virtual, asynchronous, and free platform that provides training in areas such as software development, cybersecurity, cloud storage and data centers. These technical careers represent key sectors within the digital economy, with a high potential for generating employment and attracting foreign capital.
The Secretary of Innovation, Daniel Méndez, explained that more than 13,000 salvadorans have already enrolled in these programs, of which 69% are men and 31% women. “We are encouraging greater female participation in these technical careers, so that more women join the country’s digital transformation”, he assured.

By allowing any Ssalvadoran to train at no cost and from anywhere in the country, ESIT democratizes access to technological knowledge, positioning El Salvador as a hotbed of talent for the global digital economy. This vision is aligned with the objectives of sustainable growth and economic modernization promoted by the government.
With these initiatives, El Salvador is moving towards a knowledge-based economy, where human capital becomes a strategic asset to attract investment, generate quality jobs and improve the country’s competitiveness in the international environment.
