This event reaffirms the Central American country’s position in the global specialty coffee market.
The average auction price was US$20.87 per pound, attracting major buyers from Europe, Asia, and the United States. Global demand for salvadoran coffee demonstrates the growing appreciation for its unique flavor profiles and meticulous production.
Although the top price was slightly lower than last year’s record of US$122, prices ranged from US$13.10 to US$55.90, which remains a great success. This underscores the consistency and value of Salvadoran coffee in a competitive market. Finca Los Naranjos, located in the Apaneca Ilamatepec mountain range, achieved the highest price with its Geisha variety, which won third place in the Honey Wash category.
This coffee was also recognized as Presidential Coffee in the 2025 Cup of Excellence competition with a score of 90.02.
The buyer of this prestigious lot was Momo’s Coffee, a prominent coffee chain in Korea, highlighting the global reach of salvadoran coffee. Mauricio Sansivirini, president of the Consejo Salvadoreño del Café, emphasized the commercial importance and positioning of these achievements for national coffee growing.
