The Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF) announced that starting wednesday, march 4, it will open a new phase in the process for assisting depositors of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Santa Victoria (COSAVI) de R.L., allowing individuals with deposits of up to US$80,000 to request a refund of their funds.
The Superintendent of the Financial System, Evelyn Marisol Gracias, explained that this new phase expands the service available to those who hold savings at the cooperative.
“We are announcing that starting wednesday, march 4, we will open a new phase for people who have savings at COSAVI. This way, people with deposits totaling up to US$80,000 can go to the main offices. People with less than US$80,000 can also go”, the official explained.
Service at main offices
According to official information, depositors must go to the main branch located on Gabriela Mistral Street during the established hours: Monday through friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The SSF indicated that this new phase is part of the staggered process implemented to serve those affected in an orderly manner, prioritizing specific amounts at each stage.
Source of funds
The institution also reported that the funds used for refunds come from payments received on loans already issued by the cooperative, providing the necessary resources to move forward with the process.
The Superintendency also asked depositors to stay tuned to official channels for any updates related to the case.
Institutional commitment

Superintendent Evelyn Marisol Gracias reiterated that the agency continues to take the necessary steps to provide an orderly and transparent solution.
“As the SSF, we are doing the necessary work to resolve this case in the best possible way”, she said.
With this new phase, the Superintendency seeks to expand its service coverage for COSAVI depositors, in a process that continues to unfold under the supervision of the national financial system.
