Over 16 years of continuous work, AES El Salvador has impacted the lives of more than 95,000 people in rural communities across the country through educational talks focused on electrical safety and energy efficiency. This initiative is part of the AES Energía Rural program, which seeks to promote best practices for responsible electricity management and contribute to the sustainable development of communities.

The training covers essential topics such as preventing electrical accidents in the home, saving energy using efficient technology, and adopting responsible habits that reduce energy consumption.

Yeimy Ramírez, one of the participants trained, said that since applying the energy-saving tips, she has noticed a significant reduction in her monthly energy consumption. “I used to consume much more energy, but now, by applying what I learned in the talks, I spend less and can use that money for other family needs”, she said.
AES El Salvador emphasized that these actions are part of its commitment to the well-being and education of communities, especially those that face challenges in accessing technical information and modern resources. “Our goal is for rural families to be able to use energy safely and efficiently, improving their quality of life and supporting local economic development”, said Claudia Soriano, Social Responsibility Coordinator at AES El Salvador.

The AES Energía Rural program also contributes to environmental protection by promoting the conscious use of electricity and reducing energy waste, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to affordable and clean energy.

With more than a decade and a half of positive impact, AES El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to continue bringing knowledge and tools to rural communities, promoting a more secure, sustainable, and equitable energy future for the country.
