Recently, with the aim of ensuring the continuity and quality of electricity service during the winter season, AES El Salvador, through its distributor AES CAESS, carried out extensive preventive maintenance work in the district of Sensuntepeque, the capital of the department of Cabañas.

More than 180 technicians participated in the work, which included inspection, diagnosis, and correction of possible faults in the electrical grid, as part of a strategic plan aimed at providing optimal and safe supply to more than 11,000 customers in the central region of the country.
The energy company reported that during the intervention, specialized work was carried out to minimize the risk of service interruptions caused by adverse weather conditions, such as those that often occur during the rainy season.

“Network maintenance not only responds to technical needs, but is part of a broader commitment to strengthen access to basic services and support the economic development of our communities”, said Benjamin Vasquez, Community management coordinator at AES El Salvador.
Intervention plan continues in the second half of the year
AES CAESS announced that during the second half of 2025, it will carry out 28 similar operations in urban and rural areas of the departments of San Salvador, Chalatenango, Cuscatlán, and Cabañas, with the aim of strengthening the electrical infrastructure and preventing interruptions in electrical service.
Energy for territorial development
Investment in the maintenance and modernization of the electricity grid is part of AES El Salvador’s vision for territorial development, which seeks to bridge gaps in access to essential services and boost the productive sectors that drive the national economy.

These actions are aligned with the company’s mission: to accelerate the future of energy, generating a positive impact on the communities it serves and consolidating itself as a strategic partner for the country’s sustainable development.
