With over two decades of promoting best practices in retirement planning in Chile, Crecer held another edition of its business recognition program, highlighting companies that stand out for their retirement compliance and for promoting employee wellbeing initiatives.
During the Excelencia Previsional y Estrellas Empresariales, awards ceremony, 46 companies were recognized for demonstrating leadership in the responsible management of their retirement obligations and the implementation of practices that generate a positive impact both within and outside their organizations.
The Excelencia Previsional, award, now in its 22nd year, recognizes companies that excel in payroll management, timely payment of contributions, and the promotion of a retirement and savings culture among their employees. Each year, more than 1,700 companies are evaluated, and this year 36 companies will be recognized across 12 categories. “Recognizing companies that do things right is also a way to foster a more responsible corporate culture. Our goal is to support organizations in their commitment to the well-being of their employees, the promotion of a culture of saving, and the development of the country” said Ingrid Rodas, Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager.
An evolving recognition
As part of the program’s evolution, this year also saw the presentation of the Estrellas Empresariales, award, an initiative that broadens the perspective to encompass holistic well-being and its impact on society.
The Estrellas Empresariales award evaluates business practices based on seven key criteria:
1) Employability
2) Inclusion
3) Corporate Governance
4) Community Support
5) Employee Well-being
6) Human Talent Development
7) Environmental Stewardship

The evaluation for this first period was conducted with the support of expert organizations in the evaluated areas: FUNDEMAS and Junior Achievement El Salvador. Plan International and Ayuda en Acción also participated in the design of the evaluation instrument.
In total, up to eight companies may be recognized with the Estrellas Empresariales award: seven for each of the evaluated criteria and one additional company with the highest overall scores.
Impact on salvadoran companies
As part of its commitment to organizational well-being and pension management in El Salvador, Crecer strengthened its support for the business sector during the past year through more than 3,000 visits by Business Executives and 178 Mobile Agency events, bringing technical advice and direct assistance to workplaces.
These actions were complemented by addressing more than 45,000 business requests and training more than 5,000 people through management training programs and specialized payroll workshops. Likewise, the Crecer con Empleo platform facilitated the connection between companies and human talent by making available more than 1,300 vacant positions, which organizations can publish free of charge.
