“Receiving the WSBI recognition is a collective achievement that reflects the unwavering commitment of SISTEMA FEDECRÉDITO to the integral development of Salvadorans. Since 2011, we have believed that financial education is a tool for empowerment and social transformation, and that technology should facilitate access to safe financial services for everyone. We will continue working with the same passion and strategic vision to strengthen financial inclusion in our country and consolidate our leadership,” said Lic. Macario Armando Rosales, President and CEO of FEDECRÉDITO.
The award ceremony took place at the Metropolitan Club in Washington, DC. Representing SISTEMA FEDECRÉDITO, Lic. Claudia Abrego de Méndez, Communications Manager, received the recognition.

“This award not only validates our efforts in financial education and digital transformation and technological innovation, but also motivates us to continue building a financial model that is closer, more inclusive, and more human for all Salvadorans. We are grateful for this recognition, which also commits us to continue transforming and innovating within the Salvadoran financial system.
This recognition also reaffirms that the leadership and vision of the senior management of the Credit Unions and Workers’ Banks have allowed SISTEMA FEDECRÉDITO to consolidate itself as a modern, inclusive, and innovative organization — but above all, one that is committed to its clients, who are at the center of its strategy.
The institution’s next steps will focus on continuing to strengthen its role in financial inclusion, evolving its digital channels through artificial intelligence and automation, and innovating in financial education methods with digital resources and strategic partnerships that allow it to reach more communities, students, women, and microentrepreneurs.
