The most recent report from the Observatorio de Accidentes Laborales 360° reveals a growing trend in reported workplace incidents nationwide over the last decade. Annual statistics show that cases rose from 6,270 in 2013 to 13,147 in 2025, demonstrating a significant increase in the number of accidents recorded by companies.
The annual trend reflects significant variations, with peaks such as the one in 2024, when the country reached 15,667 accidents, the highest number in the analyzed period. Although a slight reduction is observed in 2025, the figure remains high compared to previous years, highlighting the need to strengthen occupational safety and prevention measures.
Regarding monthly trends, the report shows fluctuations throughout 2025. The months with the highest number of incidents were august (12,053), followed by july (11,856) and march (11,298). In contrast, december registered the lowest figure, with 9,120 accidents, which could be related to a decrease in work activity due to the end-of-year season.
The statistics from the Observatorio Laboral 360° allow the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare to identify patterns, critical sectors, and periods of highest risk—key information for designing strategies aimed at reducing workplace accident rates.
Authorities reiterate their call for companies to keep their reports updated and to strengthen a culture of prevention to protect the lives and health of workers throughout the country.
