In El Salvador, sustainability has become a daily mission for Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI), a company that understands sustainable development not only as environmental stewardship, but also as a comprehensive commitment to the social and economic transformation of the communities where it operates. CMI’s corporate purpose—to generate, with a family-like warmth, opportunities that change lives—drives all its actions and programs, integrating sustainability as the central pillar of its business model.
Through its four areas of action: CMI Educa, CMI Emprende, CMI Junto a ti, and CMI Cuida el ambiente, the company focuses its efforts on generating environmental, economic, and social value. In the educational area, infrastructure investments, made in partnership with experts such as FEPADE and complying with the standards of the Ministry of Education, have enabled the modernization of the Centro Escolar La Mora and other educational centers. These interventions not only transform spaces, but also include teacher training, extracurricular activities, music classes, and environmental workshops, ensuring a lasting impact beyond the academic sphere.

The environmental concern is tangible. More than 7,800 solar panels have been installed in CMI plants, farms, and mills, achieving two carbon-neutral certifications in flour and animal feed operations. These actions have prevented more than 365,000 tons of CO₂ emissions in the last two years alone. The use of renewable energy is also accompanied by the planting of 1,200 trees, the promotion of recycling, the promotion of biodiesel, and constant improvements in packaging. These efforts have been recognized with national awards such as the CRESA 2025 Award for Sustainable and Innovative salvadoran Industry.
CMI also invests in human potential through CMI Emprende and its COCREO training center, where more than 2,500 entrepreneurs have received technical training and personalized advice in recent years. This learning ecosystem has transformed small businesses, especially in the bakery sector, and consolidated a shared value network that drives local economic growth.
CMI’s commitment to El Salvador is clear: to build, starting today, resilient communities and a cleaner, fairer, and more prosperous future for all, demonstrating that every responsible action lays the foundation for a better tomorrow.
