With the goal of strengthening the digital skills of returning entrepreneurs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador developed the workshop “Digital Connections: Business Instagram and Creativity with AI” in coordination with the Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, AGORA and Cámara Salvadoreña de Tecnología de Información y Comunicaciones.
The initiative is aimed at individuals who work at the “Rincón Azul” stores, located in Santa Ana, the San Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport, and Cerro Verde Natural Park. These spaces bring together returning entrepreneurs seeking to reintegrate into the economy through their own businesses.
The workshop is part of the “Transforming Lives” program, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which aims to facilitate the productive reintegration of people in situations of mobility. This program combines the strengthening of traditional activities with the incorporation of technological tools, aligning with international standards in the management of human mobility.

A total of 28 entrepreneurs and suppliers participated, some of them linked to the “Certificate Ministry of Foreign Affairs” project, a strategy that seeks to validate the quality of their production processes and support the consolidation of their business initiatives. This certification also opens opportunities to improve competitiveness and access to new markets.
The training was designed with a practical approach, focused on teaching the strategic use of Instagram as a business platform, as well as the application of artificial intelligence tools. These skills allow for improved brand positioning, expanded commercial reach, and optimized communication with clients.

During the session, authorities emphasized that access to knowledge in digital marketing and technological innovation is a key tool for the growth of businesses. The proper use of these platforms can translate into increased sales, visibility, and business sustainability.
This type of initiative reflects a commitment to integrating returning entrepreneurs into the digital economy, providing them with tools that allow them to adapt to new market dynamics. Through training and institutional support, the aim is to generate real opportunities for economic development and strengthen the country’s productive fabric.
