Fundación MAPFRE reaffirms its commitment to the social welfare of El Salvador by closing a successful cycle of community activities during the last period. In this context, the Volunteer Program played a fundamental role in benefiting the neediest sectors of the salvadoran population.
In total, eight solidarity activities were carried out during 2024 that included:
● Collection of donations for children of the Fundación EDYTRA.
● A joyful afternoon of sports with EDYTRA children.
● Educational talks on road safety given to children in collaboration with FUNDAMADRID and CINDE.
● A fundraiser to support the Hogar de Niños San Vicente de Paul.
● The celebration of Children’s Day, bringing smiles to the little ones.
● A clean-up day at Los Cóbanos beach, promoting environmental conservation.
Thanks to the collective effort, Fundación MAPFRE was able to directly impact more than 500 people through these initiatives of the Volunteer Program, working in collaboration with six strategic entities that shared its vision of creating a better future for El Salvador.
The heart of these actions was undoubtedly the team of volunteers, who carried out 230 participations in the different activities. Their commitment is reflected in the 800 hours dedicated to community service.
“Our Volunteer Program is a tangible example of the values we promote as a foundation. We are deeply grateful for the dedication of our employees and strategic allies, who have made it possible for these projects to transform the lives of so many people”, said Manuel Aquino, representative of Fundación MAPFRE in El Salvador.
Through these initiatives, Fundación MAPFRE ratifies its purpose of contributing to the social development and well-being of the communities in which it operates, maintaining a focus on education, sustainability and road safety.
Globally, a total of 7,964 people participated in the 2,113 activities promoted by the Fundación MAPFRE Volunteer Program, to which MAPFRE employees and family members belong. These activities improved the quality of life of 126,842 people in vulnerable situations or at risk of social exclusion in a total of 23 countries.
