Reaffirming its commitment to the environment and sustainable development, Chevron, through its Texaco brand and its Human Energy program, held a volunteer day in the protected natural area in Los Almendros, Los Cóbanos, Sonsonate, last saturday, march 22, 2025. The initiative was supported by its strategic ally, Glasswing International, and brought together 50 volunteers who worked in the conservation of the marine ecosystem.

With enthusiasm and dedication, the volunteers cleaned up the coastal area, removing solid waste that affects biodiversity. In addition, they began the construction of nurseries to strengthen the habitat of hawksbill turtles, a critically endangered species. As part of their work, they also delivered essential supplies, such as trash cans, to reinforce reforestation and environmental protection efforts.
Alejandro Riveros, Corporate Affairs Advisor for Central America and Colombia, reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to sustainability: “At Texaco we believe in the power of collective action. Through our Human Energy program, we promote initiatives that generate a positive impact on the environment and the communities where we operate. This journey in Los Cóbanos is an example of how we can make a difference when we work together”.

“Once again, Chevron, through its Texaco brand and its Human Energy program, demonstrates that volunteering is a powerful tool for transforming realities. We are proud to work with companies committed to the welfare of communities and the protection of ecosystems that impact their quality of life”, said Natalia Salcedo, country president of Glasswing El Salvador.
Texaco and Glasswing continue to promote actions that reinforce environmental awareness and commitment to the preservation of ecosystems. Through corporate volunteering, the company promotes initiatives that generate a positive impact on the environment and motivate more people to join in the protection of natural resources.

With these actions, Chevron reaffirms again its commitment to be a strategic partner in building a more sustainable future for El Salvador.
