El Salvador continues to position itself as one of the most dynamic destinations in the region. Tourism minister Morena Valdez reported that as of november 2025, the country had received 3.6 million international visitors, a figure that puts the sector very close to reaching its annual goal of 4 million tourists.

According to the minister, the positive trend in tourism will also be reflected in revenue generation. Projections indicate that, by the end of december, the country could exceed US$3.5 billion in foreign exchange earnings, solidifying tourism as one of the most dynamic sectors of the national economy.
This growth would allow tourism to contribute around 10% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), strengthening its role as a key driver of development and a significant source of opportunities for thousands of salvadorans.
The minister emphasized that these results are a product of the policies implemented by President Nayib Bukele’s administration, which have boosted security, air connectivity, and the country’s international promotion.
