This Global Petrol Prices study is made up of 29 countries in which El Salvador is positioned in the 9th place, with a price of US$4.27 per gallon of premium gasoline, showing a variation of US$0.12 in the period from july to august.
In Central America, countries such as Guatemala, Costa Rica and Nicaragua are above El Salvador with a price difference of US$4.34 in Guatemala, US$5.29 in Costa Rica and US$4.99 in Nicaragua. Honduras has a price of US$4.27 per gallon, as does El Salvador.
In addition, Bolivia is currently the country with the lowest price per gallon at US$2.04, and Uruguay is the highest at US$7.22.
In diesel prices El Salvador ranks 7th with a price of US$3.70 per gallon, which is equivalent to US$0.04 less compared to the previous month, placing it above countries such as: Portugal, Belize, Mexico, Uruguay, Argentina, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua.
Likewise, the Fundación Ciudadana por un Consumo Responsable, indicated that the Latin American country with the lowest price of diesel is Ecuador with US$1.70 per gallon and the one with the highest cost is Portugal with a price of US$6.39.
