The Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM) has announced a significant reduction in the reference prices of fuels, effective from september 17 to 30, 2024. According to the official report, the decreases range between US$0.08 and US$0.28, depending on the type of fuel and the zone of the country.
In the Central Zone, premium gasoline will experience a decrease of US$0.28, remaining at US$3.79 per gallon, while regular gasoline will decrease US$0.19, settling at US$3.75. Diesel will also show a reduction of US$0.08, setting its price at US$3.45.
In the Western Zone, prices will be similar, with premium gasoline at US$3.80 and regular gasoline at US$3.75. Diesel will decrease US$0.08, with a price of US$3.46 per gallon. In the Eastern Zone, prices also reflect a downward trend: premium gasoline will be priced at US$3.84, regular gasoline at US$3.79, and diesel at US$3.49.
These variations respond to international factors that have influenced the price of crude oil and its derivatives. The decrease in the demand and refining of oil in China has led to a downward trend in the international prices of hydrocarbons.
Thus, users will be able to take advantage of these prices to reduce transportation costs, especially in activities related to the distribution of products and the agricultural sector.
