El Salvador, through its Diplomatic Representation in Panama, disseminated business opportunities to entrepreneurs from the Chiriquí region. Dozens of Panamanian companies expressed interest in establishing trade and investment relations with the Central American country at an event focused on promoting salvadoran exports and strategic areas for productive projects.

During the event, the Embassy of El Salvador identified the interest of several Panamanian companies in promoting construction, logistics centers, technology, and tourism projects. The salvadoran diplomat in Panama, Zoraida Panameño, assured that these opportunities will be constantly monitored to forge alliances and attract foreign capital to the country, thus strengthening the economy.

Ambassador Zoraida Panameño highlighted the advantages that make El Salvador the best ally for doing business in the region. She mentioned the competitive facilities, tax incentives, connections to major global markets, and a safe environment for entrepreneurship in strategic areas. These conditions seek to attract both regional companies and large global corporations.

Furthermore, the diplomat highlighted the wide range of merchandise offered by the salvadoran industrial sector, which includes food and beverage products, agro-industrial products, paper, cardboard, and plastics. This approach seeks to establish a network of contacts that connects producers and entrepreneurs from both countries, thus facilitating bilateral trade and investment.

The initiative also aims to assist those seeking to open operations in El Salvador. The Embassy is working hand in hand with the Cámara de Comercio, Industrias, Agricultura y Turismo de la región de Chiriquí (CAMCHI) to boost economic exchanges and ensure a smooth and efficient business establishment process, generating a positive impact on both economies.

This forum to promote business opportunities underscores the Salvadoran government’s commitment to trade liberalization and attracting investment. The economic diplomacy strategy focuses on strengthening bilateral relations and leveraging the country’s competitive advantages, positioning El Salvador as a key trading partner in the Central American region.
