El Salvador’s ambassador to the United States, Milena Mayorga, announced via social media that a delegation of transportation companies with operations and factories in the United States (including Freightliner) is positioning itself as a strategic ally in the country’s modernization efforts.
According to the diplomat, this collaboration is part of an agenda aimed at strengthening economic and productive cooperation between El Salvador and the United States, promoting investments that contribute to infrastructure development, fleet renewal, and modernization of the transportation system.
Mayorga emphasized that the country’s transformation “is built from the ground up”, referring to the need to strengthen key sectors such as logistics, mobility, and freight transportation, considered fundamental to boosting trade, improving competitiveness, and facilitating economic growth.
Transportation companies play a strategic role in the supply chain, as the efficiency of goods movement directly impacts costs, delivery times, and export capacity. In this regard, the potential incorporation of technology, fleet renewal, and transfer of technical knowledge could contribute to raising operational standards in the country.

The diplomat emphasized that these advances are driven by coordinated and responsible work between the government and the private sector, a model that seeks to build trust, attract foreign investment, and strengthen bilateral relations.
The engagement with companies like Freightliner also opens the door to opportunities for technical training, job creation, and technological upgrades—elements that are part of the national strategy to consolidate a more competitive environment aligned with international standards.
With these types of initiatives, the salvadoran diplomatic mission in the United States continues to promote alliances that support the country’s development and economic modernization goals.
