El Salvador has become a host of world-class events, for this reason it was chosen to host the fifty-sixth meeting of the group of experts on political, economic and legal issues of air transport, in which the member countries of the Comisión Latinoamericana de Aviación Civil are participating.
60% of visitors to the country arrive by air, for this reason the purpose of this meeting is to study, propose and update procedures for the growth of aviation in Latin America and obtain as a result a significant impact on a global scale.
In addition, it was highlighted that El Salvador is the fourth country in the world with the best performance in tourism recovery, only surpassed by Qatar, Albania and Saudi Arabia.
“As Autoridad de Aviación Civil de El Salvador we are aimed at ensuring air operations and to achieve this purpose we join you in order to propose and raise to international bodies substantial improvements for the sector”, said the director of the Autoridad de Aviación Civil de El Salvador, Homero Morales.
The director explained that the topics to be addressed are: air transport, airport management, training, safety, environment, aviation safety and gender equality in civil aviation. “We want air transportation to be accessible to the majority of people in a safe, ecological and sustainable manner, and above all, we want it to be an instrument of integration among us”, said the President of the Comisión Latinoamericana de Aviación Civil, Azucena Zelaya.
