We want to focus on both innovation and the classic”, said Roberto Salomón, artistic director of the Teatro Luis Poma.

“The 2025 season of the Teatro Luis Poma, has brought us great satisfaction as a Foundation. This has been one of the seasons with the most shows, which has allowed us to be a platform for more artists, all of them with varied ways of doing theater”, said the executive director of Fundación Poma, Juanita Zelaya de Müller, who also highlighted the historical impact of the program on the salvadoran cultural environment for more than two decades. Tickets for all shows range between $10.00 and $15.00, and will be on sale starting today at www.teatroluispoma.com and at the theater’s physical box office, located in Metrocentro 10th stage.

This national adaptation offers a contemporary twist: the eleven characters—men and women—are played by actresses, challenging the conventions of Renaissance theater, in which only men could act. A shipwreck separates twins Viola and Sebastian. Unaware of her brother’s fate, Viola survives and reaches Illyria, where she decides to disguise herself as a man to enter the service of Duke Orsino.

Her decision unleashes a series of entanglements, misunderstandings, and deceptions that build a story full of emotions and funny situations.
