More than 5,000 businesses have been incorporated as Sociedades de Acciones Simplificadas (SAS), which indicates the ease of transition from informality to formality, as announced by Paul Steiner, President of the Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE),

The main advantage of SAS is the simplification of incorporation procedures, which can be completed in just a few hours and with a minimum capital of one dollar. This has eliminated historical barriers that prevented small business owners from formalizing their operations.

The impact of formalization has also been reflected in state revenues. According to Steiner, in 2024, micro and small businesses were the largest contributors to the treasury and led the group of small taxpayers in paying income tax.
“This positive fiscal performance indicates that they are not only growing, but that they are doing so sustainably, generating revenue for the State and guaranteeing coverage of social services”, Steiner noted.
