The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE), together with the Embassy of Italy and the Vice Minister of Diaspora and Human Mobility, Cindy Portal, delivered more than US$220,000 in non-returnable capital to 88 new enterprises within the framework of the Seeds Project.
These funds will strengthen businesses already in operation, generating employment and promoting economic growth in various communities. The financial support is part of the salvadoran government’s strategy to promote development and reduce the need for migration.
The Seeds Project seeks to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to consolidate their businesses and contribute to the local economy. Thanks to this boost, many of the beneficiaries have already begun to employ other people, thus invigorating the labor market.
President Nayib Bukele has emphasized the importance of initiatives such as this to achieve sustainable economic development. The alliance between CONAMYPE and the government of Italy reinforces the commitment to create more opportunities within the country and improve the quality of life of salvadorans.
