The Ministerio de Trabajo y Previsión Social has launched a new initiative to enable people to access job opportunities from the comfort of their own homes, through the digital platform set up by the institution.
Labor minister Rolando Castro reported that the initiative seeks to address the growing number of companies participating in the Employment Mondays program, while also addressing the limited physical space in the Ministry’s offices.

“Given that we have insufficient physical space and the number of companies participating in the “Lunes de Empleo” program is growing, we have activated online or virtual interviews. This new process is very effective and efficient, and hundreds of people are being placed in new jobs”, Castro said on his social media accounts.
People who are unable to attend the Ministry of Labor’s “Lunes de Empleo” can also apply from home through the Oportunidades system: http://oportunidades.mtps.gob.sv

The minister also highlighted that these digital tools are part of the institutional modernization process promoted by the Ministry. “Thank God we are diversifying all our areas into a modern and digital world. And today we are doing so with Employment Mondays. It is wonderful to change the lives of those who need it most”, he said.
With this measure, the MTPS seeks to strengthen labor intermediation mechanisms, offer greater accessibility, and reduce unnecessary travel, thus promoting more agile, inclusive, and modern management for the benefit of salvadorans seeking employment.
