In this context, the Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, visited Casa Colibrí, the first lodging specialized in bird watching, located in Apaneca, Ahuachapán, a proposal that promotes birdwatching and opens new opportunities in sustainable tourism.

The official said that such initiatives generate local economic dynamism, by attracting national and international visitors interested in niche experiences. Casa Colibrí has already received tourists from the United States, England and other European countries, which reflects the growing demand for this segment and the positive impact it has on rural communities.
This visit is part of the national strategy that connects the Surf City program with alternative tourist destinations, strengthening an ecosystem that favors investment, entrepreneurship, and job creation. According to data from the Ministry of Tourism, as of June, two million visitors have entered the country, a figure that evidences the recovery and growth of the sector.
Claudia Renderos, owner of Casa Colibrí, noted that the current security conditions have been key to consolidating her project after years of effort. Her enterprise not only contributes to the local economy, but also promotes respect for biodiversity and life in harmony with the natural environment.
With these actions, the Government reaffirms its commitment to responsible and inclusive tourism, which stimulates economic development through support for local entrepreneurs, innovation and the construction of a more attractive and competitive country at the regional level.
