The Asociación Salvadoreña de Industriales (ASI) officially presented the sixth edition of the Congreso Regional de Sostenibilidad Ambiental (CRESA) 2026, which will take place on march 4 and 5, starting at 8:30 a.m., at the Sheraton Presidente San Salvador Hotel.
Under the theme “From Strategy to the Plant: Where Industry Transforms”, the congress aims to support the productive sector in the transition from strategic planning to the concrete implementation of actions that strengthen sustainability, energy efficiency, and technological innovation.
A technical and strategic forum for the region

CRESA 2026 is solidifying its position as one of the leading forums for business analysis and updates in Central America, focusing on the challenges facing industry in terms of environment and competitiveness.
The event will bring together business leaders, operations managers, sustainability directors, technical experts, technology providers, and institutional representatives. The goal is to present global trends and applied solutions that directly impact the productivity and resilience of the industrial sector.
The president of the ASI emphasized that sustainability has moved beyond being merely a reputational element to become a strategic driver of competitiveness. He noted that the congress aims to promote efficiency, innovation, and energy resilience as engines of economic growth.

Specialized and results-oriented agenda
Over the two days, a technical agenda focused on concrete results will be developed, including:
• Keynote addresses by national and international experts
• Sectoral panels on energy transition and operational efficiency
• Presentation of success stories in the circular economy and water resource optimization
• Strategic networking opportunities to foster business alliances

Among the distinguished participants will be engineer Mariano Pitta, from ED C Industrias Plásticas Latinoamérica and a member of the CRESA 2026 Technical Committee, who contributed to the development of the academic program. The expert emphasized that transforming waste into resources involves not only recycling but also building the foundations for economically sustainable development.
The congress focuses on goals such as reducing operating costs, strengthening energy resilience, complying with environmental standards, and adopting technologies that increase industrial productivity.
Expo Zone: Technology applied to industry
• As part of the event, CRESA 2026 will feature a specialized Expo Zone, where supplier companies will present high-impact technological solutions for the industrial, commercial, and logistics sectors.

In this space, SUNRISE will participate, showcasing a comprehensive portfolio of solar solutions and announcing the opening of its first photovoltaic solutions showroom at Epic Plaza. This space will allow business owners and developers to learn about technologies in solar panels, inverters, batteries, and specialized structures for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
The participation of technology companies reinforces the congress’s purpose of connecting industrial demand with practical solutions that facilitate the transition to more efficient and sustainable energy models.
Commitment to industrial competitiveness

With the realization of CRESA 2026, ASI reaffirms its commitment to leading a strategic agenda that strengthens the competitiveness of El Salvador’s productive sector, promoting investment, innovation, and sustainability as pillars of economic growth.
The congress is envisioned as a platform for business networking and the generation of specialized knowledge, aligned with international trends and the real needs of national industry.
