In the most recent survey entitled “People have faith…”, the population evaluated the performance of President Nayib Bukele, giving him a score of 8.43 out of 10. This score reflects the widespread support that the president continues to receive for his management, according to the results of the study.
Regarding the people’s trust in Bukele, the study, with a confidence level of 95%, shows that 51.2% of the citizens surveyed maintain their confidence in the president, 15.7% trust him less, and 26.9% trust him more. These three categories total 93.8% of those surveyed, while a minority of 5.8% expressed no confidence in the president.
In addition to the high ratings given to President Bukele’s work, the survey also shows strong support in the confidence in the president. This level of support stands out especially in issues such as security and management of the economy, where salvadorans perceive substantial improvements under his mandate, consolidating Bukele as one of the most accepted leaders in the recent history of El Salvador.
Regarding the regime of exception, 76.4% of those surveyed support its continuation, while 10.1% think it should not continue, 9.6% do not support it, and 3.9% do not have a defined opinion. Although 55.8% believe that security in their community has improved, 36.3% warn about the capture of innocent people in their communities.
The survey, called the First Survey Rumbo País 2024, was conducted by the Center for Citizen Studies at Universidad Francisco Gavidia (UFG) and was based on interviews with 1,224 people over 18 years of age.
