In the framework of the 60th anniversary of the Cámara Salvadoreña de la Industria de la Construcción (CASALCO), the Secretaría de Integración Económica Centroamericana (SIECA) presented the Regional Mobility and Logistics Master Plan 2035 in San Salvador, a key roadmap for strengthening regional integration and competitiveness through investments in infrastructure and connectivity. The event was attended by more than 40 representatives from the construction sector, consulting firms, and strategic allies.

Carlos Moreno, director of Transportation, Infrastructure, and Logistics at SIECA, was responsible for presenting the main components of the plan, including the strategic corridors that seek to efficiently connect El Salvador with the rest of the Central American countries. These national connectivity projects complement regional efforts to promote more fluid, modern, and sustainable mobility.
During his speech, Moreno highlighted the Salvadoran government’s commitment to road connectivity, with at least eight key projects underway, as well as initiatives in the railway, maritime-port, and border management sectors. These actions align with the objectives of the 2035 Master Plan and position El Salvador as an active player in the regional logistics transformation.

He also highlighted the participation of international strategic partners in the plan’s implementation, including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Spain-SICA Fund, the European Union, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), whose technical assistance allows for progress in the development of specific projects that strengthen the isthmus’s infrastructure.
The presentation of the 2035 Master Plan reaffirms the regional commitment to economic development and logistics integration, as well as the willingness of the salvadoran private sector, represented by CASALCO, to play an active role in building a more competitive and connected region.
