A. M. The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) has approved a total of 136 energy projects in the region, with an investment of US$8.187 billion. These projects seek to improve access to and quality of energy supply in the beneficiary countries.
Of the total funds allocated, 85% have been earmarked to promote the use of renewable and sustainable sources, promoting cleaner and more efficient energy. This initiative responds to CABEI’s commitment to sustainable development and the reduction of environmental impact.
Financing has enabled the implementation of modern infrastructure, the diversification of the energy matrix, and the strengthening of energy security. These advances benefit millions of people, fostering economic growth and competitiveness in the region.
