The Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM) reported that reference fuel prices will remain unchanged from December 9 to 22, 2025, providing stability for consumers during the peak demand season.
According to the institution, this stability is due to two key factors in the international market. First, oil, gasoline, and diesel inventories increased in the last two reports from the International Energy Agency (IEA), strengthening the global supply of hydrocarbons. Second, OPEC’s decision to increase its production by 137,000 barrels per day during december has contributed to more stable prices in the international market.

Thanks to this favorable trend, benchmark prices across the country remain unchanged, providing relief for households, transporters, and commercial sectors that typically see increased activity in december.

Current prices are as follows:
Central Zone
Premium Gasoline: $3.85
Regular Gasoline: $3.55
Diesel: $3.41
Western Zone
Premium Gasoline: $3.86
Regular Gasoline: $3.56
Diesel: $3.42
Eastern Zone
Premium Gasoline: $3.89
Regular Gasoline: $3.59
Diesel: $3.46
Fuel price stability helps reduce inflationary pressures during one of the peak consumption months, while also supporting increased mobility, merchandise distribution, and tourism activity at this time of year.
The DGEHM reiterated that it will continue monitoring international energy market trends to ensure timely and transparent information for the public.
