The Corporación de Exportadores de El Salvador (COEXPORT) has revealed encouraging data on the performance of salvadoran exports during may 2025. Among the products that stood out for their impressive growth were insecticides, fungicides, and disinfectants. This item experienced a staggering increase of 371.1%, positioning it as the one with the greatest expansion and underlining the strength of the salvadoran chemical industry.

In addition, the accumulated analysis up to this month highlights a significant growth in other key sectors compared to the same period last year, reflecting a positive dynamic in the national economy.

Another sector with a notable performance was that of women’s knitted underwear and sleepwear, which registered an increase of 89.3%. Likewise, plastic household utensils and articles showed a solid growth of 86.8%, evidencing the diversification and competitiveness of local manufacturing in the international market.
Exports of iron or steel pipes and hollow sections also contributed to the positive outlook with an increase of 66%. Food preparations, a traditional pillar of the country’s exports, saw an increase of 52.9%, while coffee, another emblematic product, grew by 52.4%.

This robust growth in El Salvador’s exports is a positive indicator for the country’s economy. The increase in the demand for Salvadoran products in the international market translates into a greater inflow of foreign exchange, employment generation and strengthening of various productive sectors, thus promoting economic development and investment in the territory.
