With the aim of promoting the habit of saving and financial education, the SISTEMA FEDECRÉDITO held the sixth edition of the Congreso del Día Mundial del Ahorro 2025 on October 28. During the event, international experts shared their knowledge and experiences regarding saving and financial education, including Daniel Habif and Josué Arrecís. Josué Arrecís is an international financial speaker and mentor with more than a decade of experience, and he is also the founder of The Money Company.

Under the motto, “Your future begins with a small but great step: saving,” the congress brought together more than one thousand partners, clients, and members of Credit Unions and Workers’ Banks of the SISTEMA FEDECRÉDITO. University students and MYPE entrepreneurs also participated. The event was a transformative and motivating space to learn about planning and organizing financial resources, where tools to achieve this were also provided.

The initial presentation of the event focused on the formula for saving to achieve dreams, emphasizing that saving is a process that goes beyond just putting money aside; it is about following the formula to make dreams come true.

The keynote lecture was delivered by Daniel Habif, titled “Unbreakable,” in which the international expert shared a message about resilience, personal purpose, and the strategies needed to overcome challenges and achieve goals. Daniel Habif is the most influential Hispanic writer and speaker in the world, with over 30 million followers, and has delivered his message in more than 25 countries.

“Promoting a culture of saving is a strategy that directly impacts the economic stability of families and the sustainable development of our communities. This congress is an opportunity to share knowledge and motivate Salvadorans to build a safer future based on saving,” said Claudia Ábrego de Méndez, Communications Manager of FEDECRÉDITO.

The sixth edition of the Congress is focused on promoting financial inclusion and education as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility actions.
The SISTEMA FEDECRÉDITO celebrates World Savings Day as a reminder of the importance of managing money efficiently and responsibly. Saving not only improves financial stability and allows people to face unforeseen events, but it also promotes local economic development, strengthens financial autonomy, empowers women, and fosters habits of discipline and responsibility.

To promote this culture, it offers products adapted to every stage of life, such as the Savings Account, Children’s Savings Account, Programmed Savings Account, Crece Mujer Savings Account, and Time Deposits, with accessible opening amounts so that more people can start saving and plan their financial future, facilitating access to these products and contributing to the banking inclusion of Salvadorans.
