
A total of 3,000 members of the Fuerza Armada de El Salvador will participate in the civic-military parade on september 15th, commemorating the country’s 204th anniversary of independence, according to Defense minister René Francis Merino Monroy.

Of the total number of participants, 2,600 military personnel will be part of the first echelon, accompanied by 117 motorized vehicles in various modes of transport and combat. In addition, 25 riders with their horses of various breeds will demonstrate their equestrian skills throughout the parade.

The Fuerza Aérea will provide 35 aircraft, including fixed and rotary wings, to form the national flag at different times and locations throughout the capital. Minister Merino emphasized that preparations for the event included special logistics and training, ensuring that salvadorans can enjoy the celebration safely.

“The mission of the Fuerza Armada is to protect national sovereignty and support the population in the event of natural disasters. We reiterate that safety is guaranteed for all attendees”, the minister said.
