The Dirección de Obras Municipales began the renovation works of six modules of the School Center of the Carasque canton, district of Nueva Trinidad, in Chalatenango Sur, to benefit students of this place.
These works are part of a plan of the Government of President Nayib Bukele to improve, simultaneously, more than 15 public schools, an additional project to the total construction of more than 60 educational centers nationwide.

The DOM crews began this weekend the renovation of six modules where are distributed the office of the director, deputy director and four classrooms, including a kindergarten classroom. All of them have thermoacoustic ceilings.
In addition, the project includes the remodeling of the computer room, the bookstore, kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, dining room, kitchen, storage room, a multifunctional court, toilets, and new restrooms for students and teachers, as well as free internet, which will improve the students’ education.
The beneficiary students come from the Carasque, El Bajillo, Huizúcar and Las Lajitas cantons.

This is the third school that the DOM reconstructs in the department of Chalatenango; the first one was delivered in El Zapotal canton, district of Ojos de Agua and the construction of another one in Obrajuelo canton, in Agua Caliente is in progress.

At the national level, the DOM has intervened in more than 80 schools, of which 12 have been delivered. In the Central zone 2 projects have been delivered and 7 more are in execution. In the Paracentral zone, one school has been delivered and 6 more are in execution. Also, another 4 projects will be started in the next few days. In the western part of the country, 6 have been delivered and 25 more are under execution, while 3 more will be started in the next days.

In the eastern region, three projects have been completed, and nine more are underway, with four more to follow in the coming days.
This new project, which began this weekend, is in addition to the road improvements to 6.48 kilometers of asphalted streets from the El Zapote detour to the cantons of Huizúcar and Carasque, which will soon be completed. It also includes the modernization of street lighting in the urban center of Nueva Trinidad.

At the departmental level, the DOM is executing 57 projects, including more than 62 kilometers of urban and rural street restoration, as well as the delivery of two modern health units in Azacualpa and Dulce Nombre.
A sports complex has also been delivered in the district of La Laguna, a recreational park in San Francisco Morazán, and a food court in Protónico, and other projects.
