Davivienda El Salvador continues to lead the way towards a more sustainable future with a special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), therefore in the framework of a new edition of the Club Sustentable PYME, the bank reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and the importance of supporting this sector in the fight against global environmental challenges.
The triple planetary crisis, which encompasses climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution, has been identified by the United Nations as an urgent threat to global stability. In this regard, the importance of COP16, held in Cali, Colombia, was highlighted during this event, where the private sector was called upon to become actively involved in order to learn about and promote actions that enable the conservation of biodiversity.
For Davivienda, SMEs, which represent an essential part of the economic fabric of our country, can join and play a crucial role in the adoption of sustainable practices that protect ecosystems and promote a positive impact.
“At Davivienda, we firmly believe that SMEs have the power to make a difference. Our goal is to support them on their path to sustainability, providing knowledge about what is happening globally, but also being agents of change by offering them financial solutions that not only benefit their businesses, but also the environment”, said Chatereen Alvarenga, assistant manager of SME Strategies at Davivienda El Salvador.

As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, Davivienda introduced its SME Collective Green Life Insurance, an extension of its successful individual Green Life insurance product. This new insurance not only protects employees of companies in this segment, but also contributes to environmental welfare by allocating part of the premiums collected to conservation and reforestation projects in the mangroves of Barra de Santiago in Ahuachapán.
“At Davivienda we are committed to supporting our customers on the road to sustainability. The launch of the SME Collective Green Life Insurance is a sign of our dedication to face the triple planetary crisis together with you, facilitating access to solutions that contribute to a resilient future”, said Francisco Hernandez, commercial manager of Davivienda Seguros.
