A. M. The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE) has inaugurated Plaza MYPE, a space dedicated to the sale of national products directly from the producer. The fair, which takes place today from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Alameda Manuel Enrique Araujo, seeks to promote small entrepreneurs and strengthen local trade with affordable prices for consumers.
Attendees can find a wide variety of fresh products, including fruits, vegetables, seafood, typical gastronomy, jewelry, and handicrafts. The initiative not only encourages the consumption of local products, but also provides a platform for small producers and traders to expand their reach and improve their income.
Plaza MYPE also offers a selection of traditional dishes at affordable prices. From breakfasts with pupusas and coffee to lunches with chicken, beef and chicharrón options, as well as snacks such as fried and mixed yucca, visitors can enjoy a complete gastronomic experience while supporting national production.
CONAMYPE’s president, Paul Steiner, highlighted the sale of fresh seafood such as shrimp, fish, crab and shellfish, with prices ranging from US$2 to US$4. A wide variety of fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, potatoes, chili peppers, bananas, lemons, and apples, among others, are also offered, guaranteeing quality and fair prices.
This initiative reinforces CONAMYPE’s commitment to the growth of the micro and small business sector, providing marketing spaces that benefit both producers and consumers. The MYPE Plaza represents a key opportunity to strengthen the local economy and promote the sustainable development of small entrepreneurs in the country.
