The creativity and commitment of young Latin Americans to change their environment is leaving its mark: the 12th edition of Solve for Tomorrow (SFT) has already received more than 2,000 ideas from all over the region. In view of the enthusiasm generated, Samsung Electronics announces the extension of the registration period until july 18.
Since its launch in may, the program has invited thousands of public school students and teachers to come up with innovative solutions to everyday challenges in their communities, using Design Thinking tools. To date, more than 5,800 young people and teachers have participated in training sessions taught by experts, marking the beginning of a transformative journey that will culminate in the regional grand finale in november.
Among the countries with the highest number of entries are El Salvador, with close to 200 proposals, Ecuador (366), Honduras (255) and Venezuela (235). These figures reflect the enthusiasm and willingness of young people to imagine a better future, with concrete and socially responsible solutions.
In addition to the countries mentioned above, Barbados, Belize, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago and Uruguay also participate in Solve for Tomorrow. This regional presence allows students from different cultures and backgrounds to share a common vision: to improve their environment through purposeful innovation.
Throughout each stage, the program seeks to foster skills that go beyond the classroom. Solve for Tomorrow 2025’s pedagogical approach combines creativity with critical thinking, promoting collaboration and hands-on, real-world problem solving. Students learn to structure ideas, develop projects, and present viable solutions, strengthening competencies that will serve them in multiple contexts of their personal, academic, and professional lives.

The dynamics of the program will continue with an evaluation stage to choose the semifinalists per country, who will participate in an intensive bootcamp where they will develop their prototypes. Throughout the process, the selected teams will receive mentoring from Samsung professionals, as well as training focused on project-based learning, agile methodologies, and innovation.
