President Nayib Bukele announced a new student scholarship campaign that will benefit all young salvadorans with full funding for their studies. The only condition to access this benefit is to maintain good grades and perform 60 hours of community service, thus strengthening integration and social development in the country.

The event took place at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda, where thousands of young people gathered to hear the announcement. Bukele emphasized that this initiative is part of phase 6 of the Government Plan, called “Integration”, which seeks to eliminate economic barriers and ensure quality education for all.

The scholarship program will be financed through a joint effort between the government, private companies, and universities, ensuring that no young salvadoran will be left without opportunities for academic training. This strategy reinforces the Executive’s commitment to the integral development of youth and their inclusion in society.

The President highlighted three fundamental pillars of this educational initiative. First, young people must have the desire to excel; second, the country must remove the obstacles that hinder access to education; and third, the State must provide the necessary opportunities for their development.

Previously, government scholarship programs were limited and only benefited hundreds or thousands of students. However, under Bukele’s vision, coverage has expanded significantly, ensuring that all young salvadorans have access to higher education without financial concerns.

With this initiative, the current administration reaffirms its commitment to the academic and professional growth of young people, betting on a more prepared and competitive society. In addition, the required community service will strengthen the students’ sense of responsibility and belonging to their country.

Thanks to this unprecedented effort, young salvadorans no longer have excuses for not developing intellectually within the country. With free education and state support, new opportunities are opening that will transform the future of El Salvador.
