The implementation of the Economic Diplomacy Strategy 2025-2029 has allowed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, together with its global diplomatic network, to carry out 80 activities focused on trade, investment, and tourism during the first months of the year. This strategy seeks to strengthen the country’s international projection and boost its economic development through an action coordinated with the Government’s Economic Plan.

The actions carried out include 25 exploratory business missions, 10 tourism promotion events abroad, 16 focused on attracting investment and 29 initiatives to position the salvadoran export offer. These activities have been carried out in strategic countries in Asia, Europe, North America, Central America, South America, the Middle East, and Oceania.
El Salvador has also received business missions from countries such as Japan, Turkey, Germany, Brazil, Canada, and Morocco, interested in key sectors such as ICTs, agribusiness, clothing, tourism, and coffee. This demonstrates a growing international interest in the commercial opportunities offered by the country.

As part of this progress, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between the Instituto Salvadoreño del Café (ISC) and the Asociación de la Industria del Café de Baoshan, which will strengthen the national coffee industry through technical and commercial cooperation, enhancing one of the most representative sectors of the country.
With these actions, the salvadoran Foreign Ministry strengthens its articulating role in favor of foreign trade, investment, and tourism, reaffirming its commitment to productive development and improving the quality of life of the population.
