Sustainability and CSR Week 2025, organized by the Fundación Empresarial para la Acción Social (FUNDEMAS), continues today with a conference dedicated to the strategic role of the financial sector in building a sustainable and inclusive future. Under the theme “Sustainable Finance Conference: Banking, Inclusion, and Sustainability”, the event brings together representatives from banks, companies, and international organizations to discuss how sustainable finance can boost the country’s competitiveness and development.
This conference was co-created in collaboration with ABANSA and its member banks: Banco Agrícola, BAC, Davivienda, ABANK, Banco Atlántida, Banco Azul, Banco Citi, Banco Cuscatlán, Banco Industrial, Banco Integral, and Banco Promerica.

During the morning, there will be conferences and panels on responsible banking, sustainable investment, and financial inclusion, addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the financial system in the transition toward more resilient and sustainable business models. Among the speakers is Edgar López, director of Expok News (Mexico), a renowned specialist in communications and corporate social responsibility.
The program includes the conference “Banking as a Driver of a Sustainable and Inclusive Future”, followed by the presentation “Transforming a Bank Toward Sustainability”, and a panel of business experiences that will present successful cases of sustainable financing in El Salvador. Additionally, the “SOSTelling” event will offer short and motivating TED Talk-style presentations showcasing innovative initiatives from the country’s private banks.
This second day of Sustainability and CSR Week 2025 reinforces the private sector’s commitment to creating economic, social, and environmental value, in partnership with financial institutions, cooperation agencies, and other key players in the ecosystem.
