The Ministry of Housing reported that during the first half of 2026, it released a total of US$30.1 million in investments as part of its efforts to facilitate the development of productive and infrastructure projects in the country. The figure was announced by the Minister of Housing, Michelle Sol, who highlighted the impact of these investments on job creation and economic growth.
According to the minister, streamlined processes and the issuance of permits have allowed various initiatives to move forward, encouraging the arrival of new capital and creating opportunities for salvadorans. These investments encompass projects that contribute to strengthening different sectors of the national economy.

The minister noted that the US$30.1 million released between january and june of this year represents resources that are beginning to be mobilized in construction activities, services, and the supply of materials, generating a positive effect on the local and national economy. He also highlighted that these projects contribute to boosting value chains and attracting new investment opportunities.
Among the recently authorized initiatives is the Mito Power Photovoltaic Plant, which will be developed in El Porvenir, Santa Ana, with an investment of US$5 million. The project aims to expand the country’s renewable energy generation capacity and create jobs, especially in the western region.

Authorities consider the release of investment permits a key element in accelerating the execution of strategic projects, as it reduces waiting times and provides greater certainty for investors. This, in turn, facilitates the faster delivery of economic benefits to the communities where the projects are being developed.
With these results, the Ministry of Housing emphasized its continued commitment to promoting mechanisms that facilitate investment and support initiatives that contribute to economic growth, job creation, and the sustainable development of El Salvador.
