
The approval rating for El Salvador’s President, Nayib Bukele, reached 90% in a survey conducted by TResearch between september 28 and october 2, 2026, according to the results. The study also captures a favorable assessment of his administration and public perception regarding the country’s direction.
According to TResearch, the approval level recorded in this measurement represents an increase of 8.5 percentage points compared to a year ago, when the president’s approval stood at 81.5%. The result also surpasses figures from measurements taken six and three months prior, when approval reached 84.6% and 87.6%, respectively.
The survey further indicates that 88.9% of participants believe Bukele “has the reins of the country”, while 85.9% stated they believe him always or most of the time when he announces a measure.
Another notable result concerns the perception of El Salvador’s direction. 84% of respondents affirmed that the country is on the right track, according to data presented by TResearch.

The survey also records that 79.5% of participants hold a favorable opinion of the president, while 75.9% believe he has done more than expected during his administration.
These results are part of a series of measurements TResearch conducts to gauge public perception regarding various aspects of presidential administration. In this instance, the study was carried out between september 28 and october 2, 2026.
According to the survey, indicators for approval, trust, and perception of the country’s direction remain at high levels in the october measurement.
Based on these results, the TResearch poll places Bukele’s approval rating at 90%, eight and a half points higher than the figure recorded by the same firm a year ago.
