This joint effort between Banco CUSCATLAN and SISA Seguros aims to strengthen emergency response capacity and provide immediate assistance to those most in need during this period of high mobility and increased risk.
This donation will allow for the provision of equipment to Salvadoran Red Cross first responders, such as first aid kits and medical supplies; canopies for use at first aid stations; coolers to keep hydration supplies at the appropriate temperature; and lunch bags to facilitate the transport of essential materials, all with the goal of ensuring quality care during emergency situations.
“At Banco CUSCATLAN, we recognize that this is a particularly significant time for salvadoran families, and we reaffirm our commitment to supporting the actions promoted by the Salvadoran Red Cross. Through this contribution, we join the efforts to promote safe recreational spaces, providing rescue supplies that contribute to the prevention of incidents in aquatic and terrestrial environments, and strengthen the timely response capacity of its volunteers in protecting lives”, said Evelyn Pozas, coordinator of Corporate Relations and CSR at Banco CUSCATLAN.
The “Holy Week 2026 Plan” has as its main objective to address emergencies arising from accidents that may occur during the festivities, considering that, during this period, the influx of vacationers to beaches and resorts increases, as well as the number of people attending religious events. This also generates an increase in vehicular traffic, so the Salvadoran Red Cross is reinforcing its operations with the firm purpose of responding to any eventuality and saving lives.
“At SISA Seguros, we reaffirm our commitment to the safety and well-being of salvadorans by joining Banco CUSCATLAN in supporting the valuable work of the Salvadoran Red Cross. Through this donation, we are contributing to strengthening the lifeguard and first responder team during Holy Week by providing medical equipment and supplies to assist the Coast Guard Plan. We are convinced that supporting this work is also a way to protect the families enjoying these holidays”, said Roxana Zúniga, Communications and Marketing Manager at SISA Seguros.
This year, the Red Cross will deploy nine aquatic first aid stations at popular beaches and resorts, and ten land-based stations along the country’s main highways. In addition, 60 local branches will be activated to serve as first aid stations, supported by approximately 1,500 volunteers nationwide.

Their contribution allows our first responders and lifeguards to have the necessary equipment to respond promptly during Holy Week, a period when risks and the demand for emergency care increase”, said Fernando Márquez, first director of the Executive Council of the Salvadoran Red Cross.
The 2026 Holy Week Plan implemented by the Salvadoran Red Cross provides guidance and assistance to the public with prevention, protection, and first aid measures, as well as water safety and rescue, guaranteeing effective and efficient service.
