The Comisión Ejecutiva Hidroeléctrica del Río Lempa (CEL) has been recognized for the second consecutive year with the ” Constructor de la Ética Pública 2024″, awarded by the Tribunal de Ética Gubernamental (TEG). This recognition highlights CEL’s commitment to transparency and ethics in the energy sector of El Salvador.
As the entity responsible for generating energy for the salvadoran population, the CEL has implemented policies and practices aimed at eradicating corruption and bribery. Its work is not only focused on energy production, but also on building an organizational culture that promotes integrity and public trust.
To support its commitment, the CEL has maintained international certifications in anti-bribery and compliance management, standing out for its high standards in this area. The ISO 37001 certification in Anti-Bribery Management and the ISO 37301 certification in Compliance Management are proof of its proactive approach to preventing malpractices.
This recognition reinforces the CEL’s mission to operate with responsibility and ethics, ensuring that energy generation in El Salvador is carried out in a transparent framework, where the well-being of society is a fundamental priority.
