
With the remodeling of the kindergarten school about El Centro, in the district of San Antonio Masahuat, the Dirección de Obras Municipales registers the transformation of six educational centers in the department of La Paz.
This work is part of “Dos Escuelas Por Día”, the largest educational project in the history of El Salvador launched by President Nayib Bukele to benefit current and future generations. These works are published daily at the following link: https://dosescuelasxdia.com/
The DOM crews have started with the transformation of the kindergarten school of San Antonio Masahuat, currently deteriorated walls, roof, floor, and perimeter wall, among others, to benefit more than 60 students, between 4 and 6 years old.

Remodeling work began on 2 classrooms in 3 modules, the management office, a kitchen area, dining room, playground, and a multipurpose area.
Floors and false ceilings in the different areas will be replaced, thermo-acoustic ceilings will be installed to counteract the heat and noise during the rainy season, and free Internet will be made available.

Each classroom will be equipped with a sanitary battery, a shower, baby toilets and sinks appropriate for the children’s height. A new cistern and pumping equipment will be built so that drinking water will always be available in the Early Childhood area and the entire nursery school.
It will also have a perimeter wall, cistern, pumping room, fire alarm system, signage, LED lighting and the EDGE sustainable construction certification system that focuses on making buildings more energy and water efficient.



This is not the only work of the DOM in San Antonio Masahuat since last march 600 meters of streets were delivered, with hydraulic concrete surface from the neighborhood La Ronda to the neighborhood El Calvario, benefiting more than 1,400 people.


At the beginning of last month, the DOM delivered the school center in Santa Clara hamlet, San Luis Talpa, and is moving forward with the construction of other schools in: Las Guarumas and San Antonio Arriba cantons in Santiago Nonualco, Santo Tomás hamlet in San Luis Talpa and in Tehuiste Abajo canton in San Juan Nonualco.
At the national level, the DOM has delivered 13 modern schools among more than 100 projects being executed nationwide.
