More than one kilometer of completely renovated urban streets, with asphalt surface, were delivered this weekend by the Dirección de Obras Municipales to the inhabitants of the district of San Sebastián, in San Vicente Norte.

With this work of the Plan Nacional de Bacheo, the Government of President Nayib Bukele will boost tourism, economy and trade, especially in handicrafts and textiles such as hammocks, tablecloths, bedspreads and bedspreads.

About 1 kilometer of streets were renovated from Valentín Arrieta Gallegos street and the main road leading to the urban area of San Sebastián.

The road is an average of 7 meters wide and more than 500 cubic meters of asphalt were used. In addition, barrows, more than 1,600 linear meters of gutters, curb and gutter and speed bumps were built as signage.

This is the second phase of the National Plan of Bacheo delivered by the DOM in San Sebastián. The first phase was completed in september last year and consisted of the transformation of 1 kilometer of Andrés Molins Street.

At the departmental level, the DOM has delivered more than 10 kilometers of urban streets, while another 20 kilometers of rural streets are in execution, including streets in Apastepeque, San Lorenzo and Verapaz. It has also delivered a hemodialysis clinic in Tecoluca and a park in San Esteban Catarina.

Another impressive project is the revitalized historic center of the departmental capital of San Vicente, which included the modernization of the Antonio José Cañas park, the Vincentian tower, the cathedral of San Vicente and the Álvaro Quiñónez y Osorio square.
