The Dirección de Obras Municipales, delivered this weekend a completely renovated street with asphalt surface of 5 kilometers long by 7.2 meters wide, a road that connects the Mapilapa farm with the CA-01 highway, which crosses the districts of Nejapa and Quezaltepeque.
The modernization of the artery, which provided employment for more than 125 inhabitants of the area, has been equipped with drainage and protection works such as gutters, curbs, sidewalks, eight speed reduction humps, speed bumps, yellow and white thermoplastic signage on the sides, as well as pipe laying, leveling of wells and masonry walls.



Thanks to the modern road, now the inhabitants of Mapilapa, Anonal hamlet and Tutultepeque canton can travel in better conditions and in less time to educational centers, churches, the industrial zone and the urban area of the district, favoring the transportation of agricultural products, including sugar cane.

This is not the only work that the DOM has executed in Nejapa, with the Plan Nacional de Bacheo, in november 2022, were delivered 17 sections of streets of the urban area totaling more than 3 kilometers in length, which has streamlined traffic in the area and improved the status of residents.

At the departmental level of San Salvador, the DOM is executing more than 57 projects, including the recovery of more than 85 kilometers of streets with asphalt surface, hydraulic concrete, and cobblestone, such as 60 roads belonging to more than 20 neighborhoods in Soyapango, more than 25 streets in Tonacatepeque, more than 20 kilometers of streets in the urban area of Mejicanos, among others.

In addition to the recovery of streets, there are strategic projects such as the significant progress in the construction of the new and the old Rosales hospital as part of an innovative health system of the Government.
